Amy Winehouse tracks to be used for next James Bond movie?

Songs recorded by Amy Winehouse before her death could feature on the soundtrack of the next James Bond movie.

The 27-year-old singer—who was found dead at her London home last Saturday (July 23)—had secretly penned and laid down the vocals for three tracks in the hope one would be used for the next film about the fictional spy.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "What a way to remember Amy. We want her to be known for her talent and not her drugs addiction.

"To have one of her songs used in the next film would be the perfect memorial to her.

"They were really a work in progress but she'd laid down the vocals and had guitar and drums as an outline. It wouldn't take much to tighten it up into a finished product."

Amy's spokesman Chris Goodman said there is "plenty" of material but there have been no discussions about releasing anything.

In 2008 producer Mark Ronson had tried to get Amy—who had a history of drink and drug problems—to record a song called "Mission of Solace" intended to be used for the soundtrack to the last Bond film Quantum of Solace, however the plans had to be scrapped after Amy's erratic behavior, leaving Mark saying he was "gutted" they had missed their chance.

Meanwhile, a source at Amy's record company, Island-Universal said there are "frameworks" of 12 songs which could be used to make an album which could be released posthumously.

The source said: "She had put down the bare bones of tracks and some were further along than others.

"People were getting very excited, quite frankly they were really good. We heard rough cuts and they sounded like vintage Amy."

Soulja Boy spends $35 million on a private jet

Soulja Boy has spent $55 million on a private jet.

The "Kiss Me Through the Phone" hitmaker has bought himself a Gulfstream G5 jet as a present for his 21st birthday yesterday (July 28).

The jet itself costs $35 million, but Soulja—real name DeAndre Cortez Way—is spending an extra $20 million on customising it, adding 12 Italian leather seats, flat screen TVs, four liquor bars, a special travertine tiled floor, and Brazilian hardwood cabinets.

Gossip website TMZ also reports he will take out the standard lavatory and replace it with a huge, luxurious bathroom and he is also giving the jet a custom paint job which will include his logo.

Soulja Boy rose to worldwide fame with his 2007 debut single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)," and was named the joint 18th highest earning star in hip-hop of 2010 in a list compiled by Forbes, raking in $6 million.

He is also coached in finances and his career by "In Da Club" hitmaker 50 Cent, who experienced a similar sudden rise to fame a few years earlier.

Soulja previously said: "Being black, with money, from the hood, struggles, and coming from nothing to something, of course you're going to share the common struggles. You going to have people hate. You're going to have people that change on you, and all that.

"So of course, watching 50, and him going through what he did, if there wasn't no 50 Cent, there would be no Soulja Boy. You know what I mean?"

Soulja is also splashing out another $300,000 on a party for himself at a Miami nightclub tonight (29.07.11), which Bow Wow and Sean Kingston are expected to attend.

Amy Winehouse to be buried tomorrow

Amy Winehouse's funeral will take place tomorrow (July 27, Manila time).

The 27-year-old singer—who was found dead at her north London home on Saturday (July 23)—will be laid to rest in a private ceremony for her loved ones, a family spokesperson has confirmed.

The representative refused to give details of the time or location for the service.

Jewish customs normally require a funeral to take place within 24 hours of death.

However, Amy's had to be delayed in order for post-mortem examinations to be carried out.

Her inquest was opened and immediately adjourned at London's St Pancras Coroner's Court today (July 25) in order to prevent further delays in the burial.

Assistant Deputy Coroner Suzanne Greenaway told the two-minute hearing: "I'm formally opening this inquest. I'm issuing interim certificates to allow Miss Winehouse's family to make arrangements for the funeral."

Sharon Duff, Coroner's Officer at St Pancras Coroner's Court, had earlier told the hearing: "I bring before you the death of Amy Jade Winehouse, aged 27, born on the 14 September 1983 in London.

"She was a divorced lady living at Camden Square, NW1. She was certified dead at her home by a paramedic and a doctor on July 23.

"She was a singer/songwriter at the time of her death and was identified by her family here at St Pancras this morning. A section 20 post mortem has been carried out and histology and toxicology taken to determine the cause of death.

"The scene was investigated by police and determined non-suspicious."

The case has now been adjourned until October 26.
