Ryan Gosling "embarrassed" by hero status

Ryan Gosling is "embarrassed" he broke up a street fight.

The Notebook actor—who was deemed a hero after the good deed in New York last month—wishes he had kept his "nose out" as his involvement in the incident, which later went viral on the Internet, just made the whole situation "weirder."

He told MTV News: "I'm embarrassed. I think that guy really was stealing that other guy's painting, so I should have just kept my nose out of it.

"So he finally steals the painting, and then he's getting his ass kicked by his hero, and then the guy from The Notebook shows up and makes it weirder.

"It's just, the whole thing, nobody wins, nobody won... I had just come from the gymnasium, and I was all stretched out and feeling warmed up. So, I'm embarrassed."

However, it is unlikely Ryan could have ticked breaking up a fight off his to-do list following the incident, as he recently admitted he stopped setting himself goals when he reached the age of 30.

He said: "Do I set goals for myself? Not really. I think now that I'm 30 I'm more comfortable. Maybe it's because I'm playing characters that are older, so it is easier to find good material. But I also have more control, I think."

The Abduction co-stars—who have been romantically linked since they began filming the movie earlier this year—are the epitome of "teenage love" and, according to their fellow cast member Denzel Whitaker, their natural chemistry will come across on-screen.

Denzel told E! News: "It's kind of like that teenage love in high school. It was kind of like, 'Let's go on a date.'

"They were willing to go bowling. It wasn't all about the relationship, it was more about having fun with each other and I think any time that's the premise of your couple, it's going to go great.

"I think the chemistry is naturally going to show in the movie. It was off set so it definitely came on set."

Taylor—who has previously dated Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez—recently admitted he loved how "funny and goofy" Lily, the daughter of singer Phil Collins, was on set.

He said: "The amazing thing about Lily is that she was super-open and funny and goofy to begin with. And she definitely did not change at all from the first time I met her. That's probably the most impressive thing about her—that she's not afraid to be herself."

Prior to welcoming Gwyneth, who is in the Italian city promoting her new movie Contagion alongside Matt Damon, on board the vessel, Beyonce—who is pregnant with her first child—was spotted soaking up the sun on the top deck of the boat.

Earlier this year, Beyonce spoke of her desire to settle down into being a wife and mother.

Director Sofia Coppola marries singer Thomas Mars

Sofia Coppola has married Thomas Mars.

The Lost in Translation director was wearing a custom-made lavender bridal gown as she tied the knot with the musician in Italy last August 27 on her dad Francis Ford Coppola's estate in Bernalda in front of around 80 guests, including Johnny Depp and George Lucas.

Village mayor Leonardo Chiruzzi, who performed the ceremony, explained the occasion "went well."

He said: "Everything went well. It was simple, calm, in the garden. If they wanted to do a Hollywood wedding, they wouldn't have done it here. They chose to do it here because it's here—it's here that is beautiful."

Godfather director Francis was previously said to be renovating his property for the nuptials, with the ceremony set to mark the end of his rebuilding.

His great-nephew Gaetano Russo explained: "The ceremony will mark the end of renovations at the palace, which will soon be inaugurated as a resort, open to the public."

Sophia—who has two children, Roma, four, and 15-month-old Cosima with Thomas—used to be married to Being John Malkovich helmer Spike Jonze between 1999 and 2003.

Beyonce Knowles is pregnant.

The "Run the World (Girls)" singer arrived at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) last night (August 28) in a loose fitting orange dress, and clutched her visible baby bump as she posed on the red carpet.

She told the press: "I have a surprise!"

Beyonce's publicist later confirmed the news, telling People.com: "I'm happy to say it's true."

The child will be the first for the 29-year-old and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, who married in 2008.

During the VMAs Beyonce first cheered on Jay from the side of the stage as he performed new single "Otis" with Kanye West, then wowed the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles herself, singing "Love on Top."

She told the crowd: "I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me."

As she sang, Beyonce proudly rubbed her bump, and the cameras panned over to Jay-Z, who had a huge grin on his face. The performance was met with a standing ovation.

Beyonce has recently hinted she was thinking of settling down, saying earlier this month how she was hoping to "dedicate herself" to having children.

She said: "When you're young—18 or 19—you have the energy and drive. That's the time to work as hard as you can.

"Now I'm a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children."

 Kim Kardashian has jetted off for a short honeymoon to Capri in Italy.

The socialite and her new husband Kris Humphries left Los Angeles' LAX airport for the European destination yesterday (August 22) following their nuptials in California on Saturday (August 20).

However, the couple will be back in the U.S. by the weekend, as Kim is presenting at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (August 28).

The ceremony will be followed by another huge wedding party for the couple in New York City next Wednesday (August 31), and they will temporarily stay in the city, where Kim will film a new reality TV series with her sister, Kourtney and Kim Take New York.

Kim has denied next week's party is a second wedding service, however, tweeting: "There are rumors of a 2nd wedding in NY. This is NOT true!! Our friends Jason Binn & Colin Cowie are throwing us a welcome to NY party (sic)!"

Although they are only having a short break in Italy, Kim has said she and basketball player Kris are planning to have a proper honeymoon but they won't be able to go until next year, because of their hectic work schedules.

Meanwhile, guests and friends have continued to wish the couple well following their nuptials.

Kate Winslet flees fire in Caribbean

Kate Winslet had to flee Sir Richard Branson's Caribbean home after a fire broke out at the property.

The Titanic actress, her boyfriend Louis Dowler, and her two children—Mia, 10, and seven-year-old Joe—were among the 20 guests staying at the British businessman's house on his privately-owned Necker Island when the blaze broke out in the early hours of August 22 during a tropical storm.

Thanks to Richard's 25-year-old son Sam, he helped to evacuate all guests and nobody was hurt, although the eight-bedroom Great House on Necker was "completely destroyed."

Richard—who was not staying at the house at the time but was in a property 100 yards away with Sam, his wife, 90-year-old mother and 29-year-old daughter Holly—said: "Around 20 people were in the house and they all managed to get out and they are all fine.

"The main house is completely destroyed and the fire is not yet completely out. My office was based in the house and I have lost thousands of photographs which is very sad.

"We had a really bad tropical storm with winds up to 90 mph. A big lightning storm came around 4 a.m. and hit the house.

"My son Sam rushed to the house and helped get everyone out. Kate Winslet, her boyfriend and her family were there and Holly and some of her friends were also staying.

"My mother was there and they managed to get her out and she is fine."

The 61-year-old tycoon added he plans to rebuild the property "as soon as we can."

The Harry Potter actor has been linked to a string of girls in the past, but he has quietly been romancing production assistant Rosanne Coker for the past year after meeting her on the set ofHarry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in 2007.

Her father Malcolm—who runs his own painting business—said he was thrilled with the romance because Daniel is a "lovely" guy.

He told the Daily Mail newspaper: "I don't want to say too much really as they would really prefer to keep things quiet.

"But Rosanne has worked on the last three Harry Potter films, so she and Daniel have known each other quite a long time. But they have been going out for just over a year now.

"I have met Daniel and he is a lovely guy. I'm just really happy for Rosanne and as long as she is happy that is all that matters to me."

Malcolm says Daniel treats his 22-year-old daughter with the utmost respect and he thinks he is great for her, but he isn't sure where their romance is going.

He said: "No other parent would ask any more. I know it's not a normal life they live. But they have a lot of fun together and at their age, what more could you ask? 

"Who knows where it is going to lead? She still lives over here in London and he is in New York a lot, but she wants to make sure that she continues her career and wants to achieve everything she set out to do."

Defense witnesses listed for Michael Jackson trial

Nine medical staff are set to give evidence that Michael Jackson was mentally unstable at the time of his death.

Lawyers acting for Dr. Conrad Murray—who is due to stand trial for the involuntary manslaughter of the music legend following his passing from acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009—have a list of 103 potential witnesses, including doctors and nurses, in hope of strengthening his claim that he did not administer the lethal dose of the anaesthetic that killed the iconic singer by exposing Michael's erratic behavior and demanding personality.

Among those who could be called as witnesses are Dr. Arnold Klein—a dermatologist who Murray's lawyers previously blamed for getting Michael addicted to painkillers—and Cherilyn Lee, a nurse who claims the "Thriller" hitmaker asked her for Propofol in the weeks leading up to his death, but she refused to supply the powerful anaesthetic.

A source told RadarOnline.com: "Cherilyn is prepared to testify at the trial and tell the truth. Cherilyn has never spoken with anyone from the District Attorney's office. She was interviewed in the weeks after Jackson's death by the coroner and the LAPD. Cherilyn hasn't heard from those agencies since that time."

Dr. Neil Ratner, who toured with the singer in 1996 and 1997 is also on the witness list following previous claims that he would keep medical equipment which would monitor his client's vital signs as he was "under."

Ratner was allegedly hired to combat the singer's sleep problems by "taking him down" and "bringing him back up", a CNN report has previously claimed.

It is expected that Murray's lawyers will quiz Dr. Ratner about the specific details of his medical treatment for the star, as he has previously refused to disclose more than the fact Michael had a sleep disorder.

Dr. David Adams, a Las Vegas anaesthesiologist who gave the singer Propofol at least four times for medical reasons, will also be asked to testify.

According to a source, the defense feels "Dr. Adams is clearly relevant."

Jury selection for the trial begins on September 8, with opening arguments scheduled to begin on September 26, with the case potentially lasting until November.

Dr. Murray could be jailed for up to four years if convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Jessica Alba has become a mother for the second time.

The actress—who already has a three-year-old daughter, Honor, with husband Cash Warren—gave birth to another girl on Saturday (August 13).

The couple have decided to name the tot—who weighed in at 7lbs—Haven Garner Warren and both mother and baby are doing well.

Jessica announced the happy news on her Facebook page: "She was born on Saturday, weighed 7 lbs. and was 19 inches long. Healthy and happy! Big sister Honor couldn't be more excited about the new addition to our family.

"Thank you for all of your support during my pregnancy. It means the world to me."

Before the birth, Jessica revealed how she couldn't wait to meet her new baby as she had already bonded with the tot during her pregnancy.

The 30-year-old beauty said: "The idea of loving someone as much as I love Honor is something I haven't wrapped my head around yet. But I know I will and I can't wait.

"As a mother carrying a baby we get to bond while the baby is growing—reaching each milestone, feeling hiccups, kicks, rolling around.

"It's the blessing I think we get for all the round-ligament pain, sciatic pain and frequent trips to the bathroom.

"I'm signed up at three mommy sites that update me daily and weekly on the baby's development, which is probably a bit much.

"But it's a nice break from the day to check in with the baby, because, like everything else in life these days, time flies."

Pacman invites Paris to House

MANILA, Philippines – Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquiao has invited American heiress and socialite Paris Hilton to visit the House of Representatives, a close friend of the Filipino boxing icon said on Monday.

Hilton arrived Sunday night at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on board Emirates Airways flight EK334 for a five-day stay.

In her tweet, she said: “Hi everyone in the Philippines. I’m coming out there and I’m really excited to see you all and also excited doing a very exciting project there.”

Pacquiao, who is serving his firm term in the chamber, wants to show Hilton where he performs as representative, said John Marvine Dadan, a consultant to Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. at whose wedding the boxing champion stood as principal sponsor.

Dadan said Pacquiao is also considering holding a news conference at the House with Hilton.

Jon Cryer believes Charlie Sheen's sacking from 'Two and a Half Men' was an "awful thing to be part of."

The 46-year-old actor—who starred alongside Charlie before he was removed from the show after a public spat with its creator Chuck Lorre and calling Jon a "troll"—did not enjoy watching the troubled star leave the show and was "surprised" by how it happened.

He said: "I never want to go through that again. It was an awful thing to be part of. I'm glad that some peace has come out of it. I was surprised with everything that went down."

Jon has now been joined by No Strings Attached star Ashton Kutcher on the show, and he reveals he has "worked hard" on the set of the comedy.

He refused to divulge how Charlie's character Charlie Harper dies in the show but added it was "funny."

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reportedly called time on their relationship.

The Disney actress—who has been dating the "Baby" hitmaker since early this year—is said to have split from the 17-year-old singing sensation over concerns about his newfound bad boy pals.

In recent weeks, Justin has been hanging around with former child burglar turned rapper Sean Kingston, ex-convict Lil Wayne, and has collaborated on a new track with Chris Brown, who put his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in hospital after attacking her in 2009.

However, the final straw allegedly came when Justin brought Sean to one of the 19-year-old singer's concerts in Florida last week.

A friend of Selena said: "Selena told him to stop hanging with these bad people. She didn't want him to crash her gig.

"They had a huge row and said it was good they were having time apart while she was on tour."

However, Justin is said to have taken the split badly, and was spotted in tears after one of their arguments.

The pal added to The Sun newspaper: "It's hard seeing a little 17-year-old crying and saying he loves her."

Rowan "Mr. Bean" Atkinson crashes his supercar

 Rowan Atkinson escaped with only a broken shoulder after crashing his £635,000 supercar.

The Mr. Bean star was driving back to his Northamptonshire home, in the English midlands last August 4 after a day at work editing his latest movie Johnny English Reborn. This is the sequel to the 2003 movie, Johnny English, which parodies the James Bond genre, when the accident occurred.

His agent Peter Bennett-Jones said: "He is shaken but not stirred.

"I think he was in pain and had some painkillers and stayed in hospital because obviously, he didn't have a car to get home. It is nothing more serious than that. He will be very rattled by the whole thing and I think he'll want to keep as low profile as possible."

The 56-year-old British actor was able to escape the McLaren F1 following the incident and waited patiently for emergency services to arrive at the scene.

He was discharged from Peterborough City Hospital yesterday afternoon (August 5).

This is the second time Rowan crashed the car, which he bought in 1997 following the success of his Mr. Bean film. In 1999, the supercar was involved in an accident with a Rover Metro.

A source said: "He only wanted something casual, but she's in a rush to settle down, have kids and start a family since she's getting older.

The American actress has announced she is "totally serious" about putting herself forward to succeed Barack Obama because she wants to provide a voice for taxpayers, who she would like as her vice-president.

She said: "I am running for President of the United States. I've got to solve all the world's problems. I'm totally serious because I want to be part of the debates, I want to represent the taxpayers and in fact, I'm choosing the taxpayers as my vice-president.

"I definitely want to be in the debates and if I'm not in the debates then I'll Photoshop me in anyway. I want to put the questions to the panel about, 'Where the hell did our money go?' That's number one.

"I'd be getting rid of money, there would be no money or money systems. I'm totally serious."

However, the 58-year-old TV star insisted she would not become a member of any of the current political parties because they "suck" and contain "a bunch of criminals."

She added to US TV talk show host Jay Leno: "I'm not for either party because they both suck and they're both a bunch of criminals. I've made up my own party called America's Green Tea party. There would be no taxes. I'd forgive all student loans, all debts. All you have to do to be president is show up and throw a speech."

Duchess Catherine among Vanity Fair's Best Dressed Women

Duchess Catherine has been named one of the world's best dressed women.

The British royal—who married Prince William in a lavish ceremony at London's Westminster Abbey in April—was included on Vanity Fair magazine's annual International Best Dressed List and joined the likes of Carey Mulligan, Tilda Swinton, and Princess Charlene of Monaco.

Catherine was appearing on the list for the second time, with her first mention in 2008 and has gained approval recently for her habit of recycling outfits, including the green Diane Von Furstenberg dress she wore on her recent trip to California and again to William's cousin Zara's pre-wedding cocktail party.

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, who is married to French president Nicolas Sarkozy topped the list with Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser of Qatar in second place and Catherine in third.

Michelle and Barack Obama also made their first appearance together on the Best Dressed Couples list. While Michelle has been among the best dressed ladies for the past four years, the president last appeared on the list back in 2009.

Madonna fan denies entering singer's home

A Madonna fan has denied breaking into her house and stealing energy drinks.

Grzegorz Matlok, 30, pleaded not guilty to three counts of burglary for allegedly breaking into the "Holiday" singer's £10 million 10-bedroom mansion in Marylebone, London, and taking a can of Red Bull energy drink.

A court heard yesterday (August 3) how Matlok allegedly used a rope to climb to the balcony of the Georgian townhouse, broke in through a window, then entered the two next-door properties owned by the singer, who was in the US at the time of the incident.

Matlok was arrested on March 12, after being wrestled to the ground by bodyguards at the 52-year-old star's home after being found clutching several of her possessions.

A senior police source said at the time: "Something dreadful has happened here. The security around the world's most famous pop star should be impregnable."

Grzegorz was subsequently declared unfit for trial and sent for mental evaluation. Yesterday a judge remanded him in custody and fixed a trial date for September 12.

At the time of the break-in, Madonna—who has four children, Lourdes, 14, Rocco, 10, Mercy, six, and five-year-old David—was in Bay City, Michigan, paying her respects to her late 99-year-old grandmother, Elsie Mae Fortin, who had helped raise the singer and her five siblings after their mother died of breast cancer.

Rihanna has rekindled her relationship with ex-boyfriend Negus Sealy.

The Bajan beauty, who was recently romantically linked to Drake, was spotted enjoying some "hot and heavy" dancing with her former flame—who she dated in 2006 before shooting to fame as a singer—at the Kadooment Day festival in her home nation of Barbados.

A friend said: "Negus has hardly left her side. He was her first true love. The ladies here all love him—they call him the Love God.

Lady Gaga promises to show everything in book

Lady Gaga's forthcoming pictorial book will include images of her in the shower.

The "Born This Way" hitmaker explained that the self-titled visual dialogue—which will feature 350 black and white pictures taken of the singer by American fashion photographer Terry Richardson over a 10-month period—will be "completely unfiltered" and will even feature intimate moments in the bathroom.

She told MTV News: "Terry was with me for [almost] a whole year, and, gosh, I didn't hold anything back from Terry ... he was with me every minute, every moment.

"It's completely unfiltered. He has photographs of me waking up in the morning, brushing my teeth, in the bathroom, in the bathtub, the shower. She added: "My favorite thing, honestly, is that [Terry] loved the fans. He shot the fans the same way he shot me: with no pretense. No 'Well, she's put out records and they haven't.' None of that. The music was all of ours.

Leonardo DiCaprio is the world's highest-paid actor

Leonardo DiCaprio has been named the world's highest paid actor.

The Inception star toppled Johnny Depp from the top ofForbes magazine's list, earning an estimated $77 million in the financial year 2010—which runs to May this year—compared to thePirates of the Caribbean star's $50 million.

Leonardo's films Inception and Shutter Island took nearly $1.2 billion at the worldwide box office in 2010, with Forbes magazine saying in addition to upfront fees of around $15 million for each film, Leonardo also picked up a share of the profits.

Johnny wasn't able to match Leonardo, despite starring in the year's biggest grossing film, Alice In Wonderland, which made $1.024 billion at the box office, as well as The Tourist, which wasn't received well by critics but proved an international success taking $278 million worldwide.

However, the actor—who previously topped the list after earning an estimated $75 million in 2009—could return to the top spot next year, after staring in the fourth film in the hugely successful Pirates of the Caribbean series.

Third placer on the list was Adam Sandler, who made $40 million, closely followed by Will Smith and Tom Hanks with $36 million and $35 million, respectively.

Leonardo's earnings were over double that of the highest paid female stars—as recently estimated by Forbes for the same period—Sarah Jessica Parker and Angelina Jolie, who made around $30 million each.

Arnold Schwarzenegger celebrates birthday with wife Maria Shriver

Arnold Schwarzenegger was joined by estranged wife Maria Shriver for his 64th birthday on Saturday (July 30).

The former Governor of California dined at Barney's with Maria and two of their four children, 17-year-old Patrick and Christopher, 13, and despite their recent divorce announcement—which came shortly before it was revealed Arnold had fathered a son with his housekeeper—the pair appeared to be on good terms, with Maria even paying for the lunch.

A source told UsMagazine.com: "Maria grabbed for it. She was already pulling out her wallet and gave her credit card to the waiter. While she gave him the card, she also ordered Arnold an espresso."
When they left, Arnold was overheard referring to Maria as "darling," but she left alone.
The couple were recently said to be locked in battle about spousal support, with the Terminator actor's lawyer Bob Kaufman asking the judge to make sure each party paid their own legal fees and strike any right to support on Maria's part.

The couple have no prenuptial agreement, meaning all assets and property accrued during their 25 year marriage—estimated at around $400 million—will be divided equally.

Amy Winehouse tracks to be used for next James Bond movie?

Songs recorded by Amy Winehouse before her death could feature on the soundtrack of the next James Bond movie.

The 27-year-old singer—who was found dead at her London home last Saturday (July 23)—had secretly penned and laid down the vocals for three tracks in the hope one would be used for the next film about the fictional spy.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "What a way to remember Amy. We want her to be known for her talent and not her drugs addiction.

"To have one of her songs used in the next film would be the perfect memorial to her.

"They were really a work in progress but she'd laid down the vocals and had guitar and drums as an outline. It wouldn't take much to tighten it up into a finished product."

Amy's spokesman Chris Goodman said there is "plenty" of material but there have been no discussions about releasing anything.

In 2008 producer Mark Ronson had tried to get Amy—who had a history of drink and drug problems—to record a song called "Mission of Solace" intended to be used for the soundtrack to the last Bond film Quantum of Solace, however the plans had to be scrapped after Amy's erratic behavior, leaving Mark saying he was "gutted" they had missed their chance.

Meanwhile, a source at Amy's record company, Island-Universal said there are "frameworks" of 12 songs which could be used to make an album which could be released posthumously.

The source said: "She had put down the bare bones of tracks and some were further along than others.

"People were getting very excited, quite frankly they were really good. We heard rough cuts and they sounded like vintage Amy."

Soulja Boy spends $35 million on a private jet

Soulja Boy has spent $55 million on a private jet.

The "Kiss Me Through the Phone" hitmaker has bought himself a Gulfstream G5 jet as a present for his 21st birthday yesterday (July 28).

The jet itself costs $35 million, but Soulja—real name DeAndre Cortez Way—is spending an extra $20 million on customising it, adding 12 Italian leather seats, flat screen TVs, four liquor bars, a special travertine tiled floor, and Brazilian hardwood cabinets.

Gossip website TMZ also reports he will take out the standard lavatory and replace it with a huge, luxurious bathroom and he is also giving the jet a custom paint job which will include his logo.

Soulja Boy rose to worldwide fame with his 2007 debut single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)," and was named the joint 18th highest earning star in hip-hop of 2010 in a list compiled by Forbes, raking in $6 million.

He is also coached in finances and his career by "In Da Club" hitmaker 50 Cent, who experienced a similar sudden rise to fame a few years earlier.

Soulja previously said: "Being black, with money, from the hood, struggles, and coming from nothing to something, of course you're going to share the common struggles. You going to have people hate. You're going to have people that change on you, and all that.

"So of course, watching 50, and him going through what he did, if there wasn't no 50 Cent, there would be no Soulja Boy. You know what I mean?"

Soulja is also splashing out another $300,000 on a party for himself at a Miami nightclub tonight (29.07.11), which Bow Wow and Sean Kingston are expected to attend.

The 21 actress and the True Blood actor—who were dating for almost two years—have decided to call time on their relationship, but friends insist the breakup is amicable.

And it seems Alexander hasn't wasted on time since being back on the singles' market.

Earlier this month, he was spotted flirting with Games of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke at a party, while he recently left a star-studded bash with a mystery brunette.

Amy Winehouse to be buried tomorrow

Amy Winehouse's funeral will take place tomorrow (July 27, Manila time).

The 27-year-old singer—who was found dead at her north London home on Saturday (July 23)—will be laid to rest in a private ceremony for her loved ones, a family spokesperson has confirmed.

The representative refused to give details of the time or location for the service.

Jewish customs normally require a funeral to take place within 24 hours of death.

However, Amy's had to be delayed in order for post-mortem examinations to be carried out.

Her inquest was opened and immediately adjourned at London's St Pancras Coroner's Court today (July 25) in order to prevent further delays in the burial.

Assistant Deputy Coroner Suzanne Greenaway told the two-minute hearing: "I'm formally opening this inquest. I'm issuing interim certificates to allow Miss Winehouse's family to make arrangements for the funeral."

Sharon Duff, Coroner's Officer at St Pancras Coroner's Court, had earlier told the hearing: "I bring before you the death of Amy Jade Winehouse, aged 27, born on the 14 September 1983 in London.

"She was a divorced lady living at Camden Square, NW1. She was certified dead at her home by a paramedic and a doctor on July 23.

"She was a singer/songwriter at the time of her death and was identified by her family here at St Pancras this morning. A section 20 post mortem has been carried out and histology and toxicology taken to determine the cause of death.

"The scene was investigated by police and determined non-suspicious."

The case has now been adjourned until October 26.
